Cystic Fibrosis – A Day At Glamorganshire

It’s hard to believe after this glorious summer, but back on Good Friday 2013 the weather was freezing cold. That didn’t stop over 20 teams taking part in the annual charity golf day at Glamorganshire Golf Club, organised by Peter Goodfellow whose son, Rhys, has cystic fibrosis.

Altogether our wonderful supporters in Penarth raised over £3,000. Next year’s golf day is already booked for Friday 18 April 2014 – so all you golfers out there can save the date!

Our supporters have been amazing this summer. Between April and August they raised more than £2 million for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust through some incredibly imaginative fundraising activities, which will make a lasting difference to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis.

Fundraising can be fun, simple and effective; something as simple as a dress down day or fun run can raise vital funds. We have loads of tips on  how to organise an event and  challenges to try, but don’t forget your regional fundraising manager is there to help and will be delighted to hear from you.
